This makes a great gift for the maker in your life. They will learn how to work with and sew leather. Bags come in an assortment of colors, which we will determine before class.

In this 2-hour workshop, you will learn how to saddle stitch a 12″x15″ leather tote bag. You will also add the handles and an inside pocket to your tote.

No supplies or tools are needed, it will all be provided. You should be able to finish the project within the 2 hours.

Learn to work with leather and create your own bag from Peace Love Dove Design maker Elise Michaels.

Notes about the leather:

  • Smooth leather is a thinner leather, but has a nice stiffness to it for this type of bag.
  • Pig suede (Slate Blue shown) is generally a bit more stiff than a typical suede leather. These have a water resistant coating and the colors tend to be more rich than they appear here.
  • Pebble leather is thicker and has a great texture, as is seen in the color swatches.
  • Colors shown may be slightly different due to monitor settings, lighting, etc…
